There was this TV commercial a couple of years back that made me look away every time it came on. It was for some kind of a power saw and the premise was that there was this guy who built furniture for a living.
Somehow he lost his sight in an accident and thought he would have to give up doing what he loved most. But no way. It turns out this saw was so precise and reliable, even a blind man could operate it.

You might sometimes wonder whether your dedication and sacrifice will pay off as your intended goals. There isn’t a person on earth who wants to invest their time, effort, and money into something that eventually will result in a disappointment.
It’s vital to become aware of the extent to which you follow this trend of thinking. Often times you may not have had sufficient exposure and development of your goals for positive results to be born. Thus a lack of experience has equated into a lack of results. During such times you might be afraid to face disappointment to the degree of avoiding taking even the initial action required towards achieving your goals.

Can God really heal your pain? Does every trial come to make you stronger? Is it better to ‘go through’ willingly, or put off dealing with your pain as long as possible? Read on to discover the secrets that will help you heal your soul.
Can God really heal your pain? Yes He can (He can do all things!) - but He can only do so with your permission. Of course I want to be healed, you are thinking. Right. Just like the invalid who lay at the pool of Bethesda . In this story, this man, who had lain by this pool for 38 years, encountered Jesus. This man and many others like him waited by that pool every day because they knew at a certain time, an angel would come and ‘trouble’ the water. And they knew that whoever stepped into this pool immediately after the ‘troubling’ of the water would be healed. Jesus saw this man, knew his story and approached him. But, funnily enough, even though Jesus knew his whole story, he asked the man ‘Wilt thou be made whole?’

Before Donna was born she took with her a dollar, Peter took with him a pen and Harry brought along a hammer. These were the only significant things that these people brought with them into their physical lives from birth.
All of us before we are born bring with us the most useful thing that we could imagine that would work for us in the physical world. It was our desire to experience a specific aspect of physical life using only the one item that we could bring with us. The items mentioned above are metaphorical but the experience will be real in our minds. This is the beginning of a new episode of survivor to take place in the real world using the only gifts or talents that we bring with us.

Weight Loss
America is getting more obese every year. Even our children are becoming dangerously obese, even though we are more self conscious over our appearance. So what’s the magic bullet to getting trim and fit. Well, I’ll be honest, there isn’t any. First, we are all limited by our heredity. If your father has a spare tire, you’re probably going to be predisposed to have one yourself if your a man. If you’re a woman, you are going to have fight off your mother’s big hips.
Today Americans have more money than they ever have before. No matter what people say about the economy, gradually over the years, Americans have become richer, and they eat to prove it. Even poor families eat more than middle class families of previous generations. Poor families often find it even harder to lose weight because junk food is cheaper, and they don’t have enough money, or as much time to be active, other than working.

Weight Loss
We all have aspects of health we want to improve. It could be as simple as increasing your stretching, or as great as starting an exercise program. Regardless of its scope, there is a reason you’re not doing it. Although the focus of this article is on health goals, these steps can also be applied to any aspect of your life, personal or professional. I will walk you through 3 steps that are guaranteed to help you achieve a health goal
To begin, write down a list of all your health goals. Then, pick one. Now write down all your perceived obstacles to achieving that goal. Include them all! Now, everyone can site lack of time, unable to fit it in, it’s something they just don’t like, it’s uncomfortable, etc, etc, but if it’s something you really want to do, I believe anyone can make it happen! What is it that makes one person get up and jog every morning before work, but another person says they ‘can’t'? It has a lot to do with desire and determination. It’s something that’s important enough to them that, regardless of obstacles, they fit it in.

Weight Loss
One of the greatest tricks that I use to stick to my diet is to allow myself a cheat meal once a week. For that one glorious meal I can have whatever my heart desires. I can eat pizza, cake, and ice cream, anything I want for that one meal. I believe that anyone who plans to diet for long periods of time should follow this principle. There are several reasons why I feel cheat meals are the key to dieting success.
First of all, we are all human. No matter who you are, you are going to have cravings for foods that you are not suppose to eat. The longer and stricter the diet, the more temptations you will have. It is human nature to want something that we are not aloud to have. Dieting is no exception to this.

Beauty
Did you ever notice that the bar is continually being raised on exactly what physical characteristics define beauty? As I sit in front of the TV, I am bombarded by beauties with pouty lips, perfect bone structure, flawless skin, more voluptuous upper regions, size 2 waists, and hair that resembles spun silk. Take these same beauties and plop them back in time 20-30 years, when the advent of modern cosmetic technology had not even begun to reach its full potential. Do you think they would have had those same attributes you find yourself longing for when faced with these images? My guess is probably not, or at least not to the same extent.
True, genetics play a role in physical beauty, but with the likes of total extreme makeover reality TV (The Swan, Extreme Makeover, Dr. Beverly Hills) and abundant publicity, we see that beauty and cosmetic improvement can now be achieved by a few thousand dollars and a good plastic surgeon. Not only that, but cosmetics in general are now so technologically advanced, you can improve your looks by personal makeup application and home treatments.

What does it mean to be Human? Well if you reflect on your thoughts and behaviors and those of the individuals around you on this planet since the beginning of our existence here I think you will likely come to the conclusion that to wear the label Human is not exactly endearing or desirable.
The death and destruction that we have brought to ourselves, others and the environment is clearly evident. As you reflect on this how do you feel knowing that you also are one of those Humans? I suspect that some may wish they they could somehow disown their species.
Before you choose to give up on your species however I would like to suggest that your conclusions may need to be reassessed. It is possible that we have all been seduced into thinking that all this death and destruction is part of our true nature. Read more…
